Revell 87 Monte Carlo SS Car Model Kit 14587

The 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS is a performance-oriented variant of the Monte Carlo, produced as part of the model's fourth generation.

It was equipped with a high-performance 5.0-liter (305 ci) V8 engine producing 180 horsepower, coupled to a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 3.73:1 final drive ratio.

The SS version incorporated sportier styling elements—a unique front bumper, rear spoiler, and distinctive body graphics.

It was based on the G-body platform shared with other mid-size GM cars of the era. In 1987, Chevrolet produced 39,251 Monte Carlo SS models, including 6,052 Aerocoupe versions with a unique rear window.

This Revell USA 2025 re-boxing kit offers the model's two iconic engine configurations: the factory 4-barrel carburettor or the optional Tuned-Port fuel injection.
