Choosing the correct frame size when buying a Hybrid or Commuter Bike is essential so you feel comfortable and to ensure that you are pedalling in the most efficient manner. Along with choosing the correctly sized bicycle, having it set up right will also make the bike feel better which will in turn will make it easier to handle. Sizing is very personal so please accept the information below as an approximate guide. Everybody is different and has individual preferences so we would always recommend sitting on a bike before you purchase but we fully understand that this is not always possible. The guide we have created is based on over 30 years of experience sizing people on bikes and we are confident that for 95% of people it will indicate the correct sized bicycle for you.

There are many theories regarding bicycle sizing and set up, however for most cyclist's the following guide will give you an ideal starting point to be able to choose the correct frame size for your height and/or inside leg measurement.

Gents Hybrid and Commuter Bikes

5' 04" – 5' 07" (Inside Leg Measurement 28" – 30") = 17" Frame

5' 08" – 5' 09" (Inside Leg Measurement 29" – 31") = 18" or 19" Frame

5' 10" – 5' 11" (Inside Leg Measurement 30" – 32") = 19" or 20" Frame

6' 00" – 6' 02" (Inside Leg Measurement 32" – 34") = 20 or 21" Frame

6' 03" – 6' 05" (Inside Leg Measurement 33" – 35") = 22 or 23" Frame

Ladies Hybrid and Commuter Bikes

5' 02" – 5' 04" (Inside Leg Measurement 28" – 30") = 15" Frame

5' 05" – 5' 06" (Inside Leg Measurement 29" – 31") = 16" or 17" Frame

5' 07" – 5' 08" (Inside Leg Measurement 30" – 32") = 18" or 19" Frame

5' 09" – 5' 10" (Inside Leg Measurement 32" – 34") = 19 or 20" Frame

5' 11" – 6' 01" (Inside Leg Measurement 33" – 35") = 21" Frame

Please note that the above is an approximate guide, and some riders prefer smaller frames with a longer stem and saddle height or vice versa – we are all different!
